Challenges
Time was the defining pressure: the screed had to dry rapidly to meet the store opening deadline, with zero tolerance for delays — any setback would have triggered significant costs across the entire project. On top of that, the bonded screed needed to achieve high early strength quickly, as heavy scissor lift trucks had to access the floor shortly after installation to carry out subsequent trades.
Solution
Footasylum’s flooring demands were met with mach 3, our liquid screed additive designed for traditional cement screeds. Its exceptional performance characteristics directly addressed the project’s critical requirements: a drying time of just 7 days and a tested and achieved strength class of C40-F6 — delivering the early load-bearing capacity needed to keep the construction schedule on track.
